The scripture often refer to the fact that becoming a member of God's family means we participate in the sufferings of christ. This is not my favourite thing to think about but it's realistic. What is your feeling or opinion on this?
What is Affliction?
1.Something that causes pain or suffering
2.Pain or suffering
i think yes, we as individuals in the body of christ have to, because we must all individually carry our cross daily. And even the galatians5:17-21, one of the fruit of the spirit is long suffering and perseverance. So yes becoming a member of Gods' family means we must participate in the suffering of Christ.
ReplyDeletewe must forsake all and follow Christ; not just in suffering but also blessingS, riches and abundance. Christianity is not a bed of roses and we all must WORK OUT OUR SALVATION WITH FEAR AND TREMBLING.
ReplyDeleteThis is a really strong topic, as most people tend to shy away from the reality that Christianity is not a bed of roses, one has to carry one's cross and always remember that being a christian is one of a personal experience between a man and God, and so yes i think for me as a christ-like person before i can boldy say i am a member of God's family, i must have had my experiences(participate in the sufferings of christ) and overcome through christ also. And to add, the experiences would only be allowed in other to build me and make me stronger and closer to Christ.
